There is a weekly (Saturday) foosball tournament at Cuetopia in San Jose. The tournament is run by the biggest foosball promoter in Northern Cali. He has his own website with contact information -
You may wish to contact him to see if he is interested in renting you a table himself or alternatively if he knows someone who would be willing to rent a table. I would imagine that the price to rent would be reasonable, but expect to put down a hefty deposit which would be returned if the table is returned in good condition. Good luck.
