foosball tables?

i was wondering if $180 for a foosball table is a decent price ???
i was considering getting one for hubby for x-mas but i know nothing about them and there is a store that has one that looks like very nice contruction and its just under $180

thanks.. just trying to get a jump on things.. i dont have a truck and will need some one else to bring it home .. and the only person i know with a truck wont be around starting next month has they go away during the holidays..
to the person that said foosball is boring.. well all i can say is for a few years now hubby has been wanting one for his own but due to circumstances we were unable to purchase it ..
btw even as of today 10/27/2006 he mentioned again how he wanted a foosball table.. also wanted a pool table but we dont have the room for that
i have a small compact car that dont hold nothing..lol
now i better be nice my car gets me around..

$180 is a bargain. I priced them at several different stores and found that most range from $350 - $500. If you inspected the construction and feel good about it jump on that deal.
You could have a family member go by and offer their opinion since Christmas is two months away.

not to make things harder…but there are different kind of foosball table & you can look at them on web sites like mueller….sportcraft…imperial…but i understand the price..that is a good price.but will it stand up to rough play that will be on it…also when you purchase one find a place to get the little guys in case on gets broke or whatever..& the balls that go with it…you can try to look at ebay just to fet a feel of whats out there good luck(yes pool tables take a lot of room)

Foosball is great! My stepdad got one out of the newspaper for $100.00 and it was in mint condition! So maybe try the newspaper, or ebay. Most of them come in a box if you buy it at the store, you can probably put that in a mini-van if you have one. Good Luck finding a cheap, good one!!!
